what makes willow different from other eugene salons?
A few things. We make sure every new client is paired with the right stylist for their hair and goals — not just whoever has an opening. Our team is small and deliberately chosen, which means the level of skill in the room is consistently high. Stylists consult each other on complex work. Helen, who founded the salon in december 2009 after training in australia and working in london and los angeles, still sets the standard for the culture and the craft.
We also get a significant number of new clients who come to us after a color experience somewhere else didn’t go the way they hoped. Color correction is something the team is genuinely good at.
do you accept walk-ins?
We don’t take walk-ins, but you can book online anytime. For new clients, we’ll sometimes follow up to make sure you’re with the right stylist for what you’re looking for — you’ll always hear from us before anything changes.
what hair services do you specialize in?
Color is our primary strength — balayage, lived-in color, highlights, color correction, and blonding. We also do precision cuts, textured and curly hair cuts, blowouts, and special occasion styling. Full service menu and pricing on the hair services page →
what is balayage?
Balayage is a hand-painting technique that creates soft, dimensional color with a natural grow-out. It’s the technique behind most of the color work you’ll see on our Instagram — low-maintenance results that look intentional at every stage. Most of our color clients are here for some version of this.
what products do you use?
For hair, we use and retail R+Co — a professional line known for its quality, its creativity, and its commitment to the craft of hairdressing. For skincare, we use Eminence Organic Skin Care, a professional biodynamic line that’s become central to how Claire and Isela approach every treatment. Both lines are available for retail purchase at the salon.
do you offer esthetics and skincare services?
Yes — through willow skincare, our dedicated esthetics studio within the salon. Claire and Isela offer facials, microneedling, dermaplaning, lash and brow treatments, and waxing. Full details on the willow skincare page →
what is microneedling?
Microneedling — also called collagen induction therapy — is a minimally invasive treatment that uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating natural collagen and elastin production. It targets fine lines, acne scars, wrinkles, and uneven texture. Minimal downtime. A series of four to six sessions is recommended for best results. A complimentary consultation is available before your first appointment.
do you sell gift cards?
